How to Transfer WhatsApp Messages from Samsung to Samsung S10/S9/S8

Transfer WhatsApp from Samsung to Samsung via WhatsApp Backup

You can also very easily transfer WhatsApp data from the old device to the new one by simply restoring the WhatsApp backup. Here’s a detailed step by step guide to help you do that:

Step 1: On your old Android device, go to WhatsApp > Menu Button > Settings > Chats > Chat Backup > Backup to create a full backup of all the WhatsApp data on the device.

Step 2: Install WhatsApp on your new Samsung device.

Step 3: If you have an external SD card on your old Samsung device, you can simply take the SD card out of the device and insert it into the new device.

If the device has an SD card or internal memory only, you may need to use the computer to transfer the folder “/sdcardWhatsApp/folder” to the new phone. To do that, connect both devices to the computer using USB cables and use File explorer to copy the folder from the old device to the new one.

Step 4: Now run WhatsApp on the new Samsung device and follow the prompts to set up your account. You should then see a message notifying you that a backup has been detected. Click “Restore” and WhatsApp will begin restoring the WhatsApp messages to the new device.

Way 3. Transfer WhatsApp from Samsung to Samsung via Google Drive

If you have been backing up your WhatsApp data to Google Drive, you can simply restore the backup to the new device to transfer the messages. You must however meet some requirements before you can use this method. They include the following:Read Next:samsung smart tv apps

Your device has to be synced with Google Drive.

You also must have Google Play Services installed on the device.

Both your Google Drive account and your Android device must have adequate storage space for the WhatsApp data backup.

Here’s how to use Google Drive to transfer WhatsApp data from one Samsung Device to another:

Step 1: Begin by backing up the WhatsApp data on the old device. To do that, go to WhatsApp > Settings > Chats > Chat Backup > Back Up > Back Up to Google Drive.

Step 2: On the new device, add the same Google account you used to back up the old device. You should also make sure that you’re using the same phone number.

Step 3: Now install WhatsApp on the new device and then follow the on-screen instructions to set up WhatsApp. Once you have verified your phone number, WhatsApp will ask you if you want to restore messages and media from the Google Drive.

Step 4: Tap “Restore” and wait for the process to be completed. Tap “Next” and all your chats will be displayed after the initialization process is complete. WhatsApp will then begin restoring the medial files in the backup and once this process is complete, you can begin using WhatsApp on the new device.

Depending on your circumstances, one of the above methods can present the most ideal solution for transferring WhatsApp from Samsung to Samsung. If you don’t want to use a Google backup or you would like to transfer only some of your WhatsApp messages, then iTransor for WhatsApp presents the most viable solution. This is because it allows you to selectively transfer WhatsApp data without backup.

Upcoming iOS 13 VoIP Change That Restricts Background Access to Impact Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp

An upcoming change in iOS 13 that limits data collection practices using VoIP APIs will impact apps like Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp, forcing them to be redesigned, reports The Information.

Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp allow users to make calls over the internet, and to listen for those calls, the apps run in the background of an iPhone or iPad so calls can connect quickly. While running in the background, the apps are also able to collect data, something that Apple is putting a stop to in iOS 13.

Background access for apps like Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp will be restricted solely to internet calls going forward, with no background data collection available.

Sources that spoke to The Information said that this change will force Facebook to redesign its messaging apps, and that it could have a "particularly heavy impact" on WhatsApp. WhatsApp apparently uses the internet calling feature for multiple other functions, including its end-to-end encryption.

Other messaging app developers that have used the internet calling feature to keep apps running in the background on iOS devices will also need to rebuild their apps. This will include apps like Snapchat, WeChat, and more.

Facebook told The Information that Facebook was not collecting data through its calling feature.

"The changes to the upcoming iOS releases are not insignificant, but we are in conversations with Apple on how best to address," the spokesperson said. "To be clear--we are using the PushKit VoIP API to deliver a world-class, private messaging experience, not for the purpose of collecting data."

Facebook says that it is having conversations with Apple on how to address the coming changes in iOS 13. Apple is making the change in iOS 13, but developers will have until April 2020 to comply with the new rules.

Apple says that the change will better protect user privacy and will result in performance improvements for iOS devices as background app usage for this purpose can drain system resources and shorten battery life.Read Next:alternative to utorrent

You Could Soon Be Fined up to $15,000 for Sharing Memes

We have all been guilty of sharing memes on our timelines. Memes help add color to dull conversations and often put a smile on our faces. If passed, a bi-partisan bill is set to change this by imposing up to $30,000 for sharing protected material online.

Once the law is passed, creators will be able to sue anyone who posts images that they have not created or don’t have copyrights to. Needless to say, we will witness a volley of lawyers who will rake in moolah by suing unsuspected users.

The bill is titled “Copyright Alternative in Small Claims Enforcement Act of 2019” and is said to “creates a voluntary small claims board within the Copyright Office that will provide copyright owners with an alternative to the expensive process of bringing copyright claims, including infringement and misrepresentation …. in federal court.”

As expected the law will prove to be a treasure cove for copyright trolls and small businesses who might have shared copyrighted material unknowingly. The worst part is that perpetrators will not get a chance to appeal. The cap on the fine is set at $30000 which includes an individual cap of $15,000 per work infringed.

A petition against CASE Act is already doing rounds. The petition says,

Have you ever shared a meme that you didn’t make? Or downloaded a photo you saw on social media? If Congress has its way you could soon get slapped with a $15,000 fine by copyright trolls – with no chance of appeal – just for doing normal stuff on the internet.

In other words, sharing memes could cost you dearly and you might actually end up being fine $30,000. The bill is being pushed by photographers and other artists who want to expedite claims without having to approach the federal courts. It is also worth mentioning that the bill doesn’t detail the process related to enforcing the law.Sponsor ads:

How to Remove a Lost Device From Your iCloud Account in Find My

In iOS 13 and iPadOS, Apple has combined the Find My Friends and the Find My iPhone apps into a single app called "Find My." Find My works similarly to the apps it replaces. For example, just like Find MyiPhone, it allows you to put stolen, lost or misplaced Apple devices into Lost Mode.

Remotely turning on Lost Mode ensures that your passcode is required on the device, meaning no one but you can change its Find My status, or erase it without connecting it to a computer. And even if your iPhone is fully erased, the person who has it can't use it. Activation Lock (activated when you turn on Find My on a device where your Apple ID is logged in) stays on and there is no way to bypass it.

Of course, while the Lost Mode feature can increase your chances of retrieving your property, it can't guarantee that you'll ever see the lost device again.

If the worst does happen and you lose all hope of finding your Apple device, you can remove it from your iCloud account by following the steps below.

Launch the Find My app on your iPhone or iPad.

Swipe up with your finger to reveal your list of devices.

Tap the lost device in the list – indicated by a padlock within the device's icon.

Swipe up to reveal the menu of device options.

Tap Remove This Device.

Tap Remove to confirm.

Find My is the most important feature to have turned on in the event a device is lost, but there are other key security options you should use, including a passcode and two-factor authentication.

With a passcode, no one can access personal data stored on your iPhone, and with two-factor authentication, your Apple ID will be safer from hacking attempts, something a thief or person with malicious intent might try to get access to on a stolen device to disable Activation Lock. A Piece of Advice: Before rushing with the steps, do not forget to back up your iPad and secure all of your essential files. Unfortunate things do tend to catch us when we least expect them to. Therefore, I would strongly suggest you take the backup of your iPad.
How to Download and Install iPadOS Developer Beta 3 on iPad

As for compatibility, iPadOS has the support for iPad Mini 4 and later as well as all the iPad Pro models. Besides, you must ensure that your Mac is running macOS Catalina. That being said, let’s get on with the steps!

Step #1. To get going, head over to Apple developer page and download restore image for respective iPad model.

Step #2. Connect your iPad to your Mac and fire up Finder.

Step #3. Next, you have to click on the device icon at the upper left corner.

Step #4. Next up, press and hold the Option key and then click on “Restore iPad.”

Step #5. Up next, you need to choose the beta to restore the image and hit Open to start the process of installing it.

Now, wait for the restore image to install perfectly. Once it’s done, go through the basic activation process. After that, you are all set.

That’s done!

Over To You…

Even though the iPad always had top-notch hardware, it lacked a solid OS that could enable it to take on more capable laptops. But with the tech giant finally adding a more efficient operating system designed specifically for the tablet, things eventually appear to look better.

2019 iPhone 11 and iPhone XR CAD Renders Leak Again

Alleged CAD renders of the 2019 iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Max, and iPhone XR has leaked online. The CAD renders once again confirm that the 2019 iPhone 11 lineup will feature triple rear cameras, with the iPhone XR featuring a dual-camera setup.

The notch on the 2019 iPhone series is also going to be of the same width as the one found on the iPhone X/XS series. Rumors do point to Apple using an upgraded TrueDepth sensor for improved Face ID performance.

Other details regarding the thickness of the devices are not a part of the leaked CAD renders. iPhone 11 CAD renders have already leaked before and the new ones don’t reveal anything new.

Plenty of leaks and renders have revealed almost everything about the 2019 iPhone 11 and iPhone XR. The highlight of the devices are going to be their improved camera setup, bigger batteries, and reverse wireless charging.

The addition of a third new camera on the 2019 iPhone 11 is rumored to be a 12MP ultra-wide angle. The iPhone XR is also gaining a second new camera lens but it is unclear if it is going to be an ultra-wide angle lens or a 2x optical zoom sensor.

Externally, the new iPhones are going to pack the same design as the iPhone X/XS series with only some minor changes. Apple is rumored to switch to a single frosted glass panel which should give these phones a fresh new look. The 2019 iPhone XR is also expected to come in two new colors.

Like every year, Apple will be unveiling the 2019 iPhone lineup in September this year.Sponsor ads:

Apple Paid an Estimated $5-$6 Billion to Settle Qualcomm Dispute, Plus $8-$9 Per iPhone in Royalty Fees

Apple likely paid somewhere around $5 to $6 billion to settle its ongoing legal battle with Qualcomm, according to estimates shared today by UBS analyst Timothy Arcuri (via CNBC).

The $5 to $6 billion payment would have been for royalty fees that Apple had stopped paying over the course of its two year legal fight with Qualcomm.

Qualcomm may also be receiving between $8 and $9 per iPhone from Apple in ongoing patent royalties, a figure calculated based on guidance numbers that Qualcomm provided following the settlement. Qualcomm said that it expects its earnings per share to increase by $2.

Apple previously paid $7.50 in royalties, so at $8 to $9 per iPhone, Apple would be shelling out more cash than it did before.

Apple appears to have had no alternative but to settle with Qualcomm, as it had no other way to source 5G chips for its 2020 iPhone lineup. Apple initially planned to use Intel chips, but rumors suggested Intel wasn't meeting development goals, leading to tension between Apple and Intel.

Just hours after Apple and Qualcomm announced a settlement deal, Intel said that it was exiting the 5G smartphone modem business and would not be making 5G smartphone chips at all.

It's not entirely clear if Apple settled with Qualcomm because it knew of Intel's plan to abandon 5G chip development or if Intel made the decision after learning of Apple's settlement plans, but either way, it leaves Apple with no choice but to re-adopt Qualcomm chips for future iPhones.

Smartphone makers like Samsung will have 5G smartphones available starting this year, so Apple could not afford to delay the rollout of its 5G iPhones. Launching in 2020 already puts Apple somewhat behind, but 5G networks from U.S. carriers are still very much in development.

Following news of the settlement, Qualcomm's stock has gone up over 38 percent, marking a big win for the San Diego company. The agreement includes a six-year licensing deal along with a "multiyear chipset supply agreement."

It sounds like Apple will need to rely on Qualcomm for the foreseeable future, but Apple is working on its own modem chip technology, which may eventually allow it to drop Qualcomm as a modem chip supplier.Gihosoft RePicvid Free Photo Recovery Software provides a free photo recovery software for windows to help users recover the deleted or lost photo for free.

Apple Rumored to Use Mini LED Displays in 31.6-Inch iMac, Future iPads and Macs

Apple Rumored to Use Mini LED Displays in 31.6-Inch iMac, Future iPads and Macs

A DigiTimes report citing reputable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says that Apple will be switching to Mini LED display technology for its upcoming iMacs. In his note yesterday, Kuo mentioned that he expects Apple to launch a 31.6-inch 6K display this year.

Today’s report also claims that Apple will be switching to mini LED display technology for its 2020 iPad and 2021 MacBook Pro lineup. As per Kuo, mini LED displays offer a wide color gamut, high contrast ratio, high dynamic range, and local dimming feature which make them far superior to LCD panels used by Apple in its iPad and iMac lineup.

The Japan-based Nichia will be supplying Apple backlit unit of about 500 LEDs that are about 600 microns in size.

Strictly speaking, this is a quasi-mini LED BLU because the chip size is much larger than those of standard mini LEDs, according to industry sources. However, the use of such a BLU will give opportunities for the supply chain to improve mini LED production in cost and yield rate, the sources noted.

For the iPad, more than 10,000 mini LEDs will be required which would be produced by Epistar. The LCD panel itself will be produced by LG Display. Along with these two, Radiant Opto-Electronics will also be supplying BLUs to Apple and the three companies are expected to be a part of the supply chain of the mini LED-backlit MacBook as well.
Our Take

While the report cites reputed analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, it is still recommended that it is taken with a pinch of salt. DigiTimes claims that Apple will be launching a 6K iMac, while Kuo expects Apple to simply launch a standalone 6K display. My bet is also on the latter as Apple has already refreshed its iMac lineup this year with faster internals and they are unlikely to get another refresh this year.

As for the switch to mini LEDs, it is something that only time will tell. If Apple does make the switch, we should see more such rumors and reports leak out.

Apple News+ Fist Impressions: Big, Bold, and Beautiful

Apple News+ Fist Impressions: Big, Bold, and Beautiful

Apple News saw an upgrade today, thanks to the arrival of News+. But does a host of new content really warrant a monthly subscription?

The short answer to that question is, yes. As long as you actually want any of the content being offered. During its big unveiling, Apple said that if you subscribed to each of the pieces of content available through Apple News+ on an individual basis, you’d be spending $8,000 or more per month. I doubt anyone is actually paying that, but of course monthly subscriptions do make it a lot easier to reach content.

The idea here is sound: Apple wants to offer up all of this editorial and picturesque material for a relatively cheap amount per month. It’s an admirable effort, too, because a lot of what’s being offered is genuinely good stuff. The fact that you can get access to National Geographic, WIRED, The Hollywood Reporter, and much, much more for just $9.99 per month is great. Especially considering you’re getting the full experience — not just one story here, or a brief snippet there.

It’s a steal, and it’s a good one.

Let me just get this out of the way first: My first impression with Apple News+ is entirely on an iPhone XR. I haven’t upgraded my MacBook to the latest version of macOS just yet, and I don’t own an iPad (for now; I’m getting a new iPad mini soon). So while Apple wasn’t shy about touting the experience of News+ on the iPhone, I have no doubt whatsoever that the best possible experience is on a big(ger) screen.

That being said, Apple News+ is beautiful. It’s big in content availability, and bold in its use of moving images to attract attention. It’s all of these things and more. Seeing shots of beautiful cities on the moving cover of Nat Geo is fantastic. And while I thought it would be strange at first, it’s genuinely nice to see this happening without me having to Force Touch it to happen.

Text is easy to read from one magazine to the next, and you can change the size as you see fit. There is no shift from Light to Dark mode, though. And there is no denying that photography in magazines is still one of the shining elements of the platform, and seeing it on an iPhone doesn’t disappoint at all. Being able to tap into a photo to see it up close and more detail is a nice, albeit expected, touch.

Open up the WIRED issue and watch as the cow’s head moves around while you move your iPhone around. It’s intense.

First impressions are brief, but can leave a lasting impact. It’s safe for me to say that News+ is a positive one. These are magazines that I’ve wanted to subscribe to in the past, but just haven’t wanted to spend the money for all of them at the same time. Being able to put them all together in one place for one low monthly fee is something I’m definitely not going to pass up.

But beyond that, Apple made the experience enjoyable in its typical fashion. Just having all of this content is one thing, but the reading experience is worthwhile, as are the beautiful images. Especially when they move and grab your attention. Layout is great, and so is navigating from one story to the next. It’s all quick and easy. It just works. And it looks great while doing it.

I’m looking forward to using News+ more in the future and watching it as it learns about me, what I like to read, and offering up even more for me to consume.

Click “Reset All Settings” again to confirm. You won’t lose any media or user data; only settings such as home screen layout, brightness of the screen, and the wallpaper will be reset. The encrypted backup password will also be removed.

Once again, connect your iPhone to iTunes and create a new backup. Make sure you deselect the “Encrypt Local Backup” option.

Pro tip: With this method, you won’t be able to access your old iTunes backup. You’ll only be able to use iTunes to back up your current data and create a new backup password.
Use an iCloud Backup instead

If your iPhone backup password is not working on iTunes, you can back up and restore data using iCloud without any intervention of a special tool. Follow these steps to unlock iPhone backup password using iCloud:
Create a backup to iCloud

Open “Settings” on your iPhone.

Click your “Username” on the settings screen.

On the next screen, click the “iCloud Backup” option.

Toggle the “iCloud Backup” button toward the right side to switch it on and click the “Backup Now” button to begin the backup process.
Recover data using iCloud

To recover data using iCloud, you’ll have to reset your iPhone as restoration can only take place using the Hello screen.

Using the “Settings” app, go to General>Reset>Reset All Content and Settings. Please be aware this step will remove all data on your device.

Once your iPhone restarts, you’ll notice the Hello screen. Follow the on-screen steps to land on the “Apps and Data” screen.

Then click the “Restore from iCloud Backup” button.

In the next step, log in to iCloud using your Apple ID and password. Pick a backup after which the restoration process will begin.

How to Set Video Ringtone on Jailbroken iPhone?

We’re among the large population of iPhone users who have the opinion that it’s unexciting to see a contact name on iPhone screen when receiving a notification of an incoming call. We believe it would be more interesting if you can set video ringtone for iPhone so that you know who is calling by hearing the ringtone and seeing a video playing on the screen when receiving a notification of an incoming call.

To share on knowledge with you on how to make your own free video ringtone for iPhone, we shall be discussing how to use a Cydia tweak/app: Vuziq to create video ringtones for jailbroken iPhone. We shall also be discussing how to convert video soundtracks to ringtones for iPhone and set them as ringtones on non-jailbroken iPhone.

Part 1: How to Set Video Ringtone on Jailbroken iPhone?

Part 2: How to Convert Video Soundtrack to iPhone Ringtone?
Part 1: How to Set Video Ringtone on Jailbroken iPhone?

Well, gone are the days when you can only play default ringtones on iPhone. Nowadays, instead of seeing static pictures and caller’s name on your screen, you can choose to make incoming calls more fun by setting a music video from your favorite artist as your iPhone ringtone.

Vuziq is a Cydia tweak/app that can help you set video ringtone on iPhone. It can be used to search and download fun and favorite music videos and set them up as iPhone video ringtone. More so, the ability to set up a video ringtone on a jailbroken iPhone is the feature that’s making Vuziq Cydia app popular among iOS device users.

Before you can use Vuziq to download Video ringtones on iPhone, you have to go through a registration process. Once you are registered, you will be entitled to use the app in searching and downloading videos of your choice. All downloaded videos can be set specifically for individual contacts.

Here are the steps to setup Vuziq and use it to search and download iPhone Video ringtones.

Simply open Cydia and switch it on. Then search for Vuziq and install it on your iPhone.

Restart your device so that the tweak will work properly.

Click Settings, Scroll down to Tweak Preferences and select Vuziq.

Open the app from the application list on your SpringBoard. Search for your favorite music videos from the Download tab.

Click on the video you wish to download, then the page with "Download & Video Stream" will open, choose "Download".

Navigate to the Video Calls tab, and click the switch next to the video you just downloaded to set it as default video ringtone.

Set the start and finish points on the video, and click the Save button.

Disadvantages of Using Vuziq:

Vuziq is only compatible with iOS 5 and earlier versions, but not compatible with latest versions of iOS.

Since it’s a Cydia tweak, you’ll need to jailbreak your iPhone before installing this tweak.

There is always a delay between when you pick your call and when you get to hear the caller’s voice on the line.

Three Reasons That You Should Give Business Chat a Try
1. Convenient Communication Method

No need to look up business phone number and waste time in speaking to irrelevant people; during chatting with business within Message app, you can do other task as well. It is fun, isn’t it? After updating to iOS 12, users can make an appointment with doctor in an easy way, and payment making within Message app with Apple Pay can be realized as well.

2. Won't Expose Personal Information

Living in a world where private information leakage is very common, people have to take personal information safety as the top priority. Chatting directly with business in upcoming iOS 12 can guarantee no personal information will be exposed as Apple commits that it won’t share users’ contact information with businesses. Furthermore, users can end the chat whenever they want to.

3. Doesn't Require Extra Downloads and Account Login

As is known to many social network users, Facebook is aiming to make its Messenger app as a consumer support channel enabling businesses to interact with customers, similar to iOS 12 Business Chat. In comparison, Apple takes advantage in that the feature can be realized with iPhone’s preinstalled Message app, which means there is no need to download extra program and log in some accounts.

With iOS 12 on your iPhone, users will find interaction with businesses of different sizes convenient. So far, businesses confirmed to use the feature include Wells Fargo, Lowe's, Hilton and Discover. According to Apple Inc., many more are going to employ the feature in the near feature.

Personal information, as we mentioned before, will not be exposed during chatting with businesses. However, some people want to completely delete and erase messages to better protect personal information. They may just delete messages from Message app. The method is not safe enough as messages deleted in this way can be recovered by some iOS data recovering tools. Therefore, to 100% delete and erase messages from your iPhone, an iOS data eraser is necessary. Here we focus on iMyFone Umate Pro.
100% Delete and Erase Messages after Business Chat in iPhone

With iMyFone Umate Pro, users are able to completely delete and erase messages after business chat in iPhone running iOS 12, and there is zero chance for data recovery. The computer-based program is well compatible with iOS 12, thus your iOS 12 iPhone will not encounter incompatibility issue. The program is available in Windows and Mac version.
